Behavior Issues in Children During the Pandemic

The upcoming school year is upon us. With more than 5 months of receiving instruction at home due to stay-at-home orders due to COVID-19, our children now face a new reality of stringent rules and regulations at school to ensure the safety of staff, students, and their families.
Many questions arise. How will social distancing impact students’ mental health? Will the children have a hard time adjusting to being back in school? What environments have less fortunate children been subjected to as a result of the shutdown? What expectations do we have regarding our children’s behavior amidst the ongoing pandemic?
#askaschoolpsych is a new training/discussion forum where we will discuss common issues that arise within inner-city schools, the impact on student and family functioning, and how parents and schools can work together to support the BEST outcomes for all students.
This event is intended for both parents and professionals to discuss the possible impact and the residual behavioral and emotional impact of the shutdown and discuss ways we can support our children’s social and emotional health this upcoming school year.
This training will be virtual. Questions can be sent to ask@befit2learn.com
